The Girls’ Volleyball team had a game on April 13 against Belvidere North High school with Varsity losing 18-25, 10-25 and JV losing 25-20, 15-25, 18-25.

Coach Storm Jackson said, “The girls fought hard and battled. The scores done represent how hard they worked.”

The Girls Varsity team game got canceled on April 15 due to East’s Varsity team having exposure to COVID. Senior night was originally planned for April 15, but due to more possible COVID exposure it has been moved to April 22nd.

Instead of having Senior Night against the E-Rabs the team will have to go against Hononegah High School on April 22.

Senior Paige Kitsemble said, “I’m just happy that I have an opportunity to have a senior night. At the start of the year, no one knew if we were even going to have a season, so I am thankful that senior night is still occurring.”

JV was still able to play against East on April 15, and they won in two sets.

Sophomore Shelby Hansen said, “We played the E-Rabs who we lost to the first time we played them and this time around our team was overall just working really well together and we were all having fun and we got the win.”

The teams will have a game April 17 against Guilford.
