The Belvidere Bucs football program dropped two losses in the past two weeks. They played the Rockford East E-Rabs on Mar. 26, 50-7.

Senior Dylan Schohn said, “We have gotten so much better since we first started and with a new coaching staff it is always good to see improvements.”

In an attempt to shake off their loss to East, the Bucs played the Freeport Pretzels on April 2. They lost, 33-8.

Schohn said, “We need to keep getting better to help set up the lowerclassmen for success.”

In regards to their game against Freeport, Junior Michael Loeding said, “It was a rough start to the game, but in the second half we got things rolling and moved the ball.”

Hoping to get their first win, the Bucs will play their crosstown rival, the Belvidere North Blue Thunder, tonight at 6 pm.

Senior Jack Aldihaimawl said, “North is a good team, they have a good program going, it’s for sure going to be a good game with us both being 0-3. We’re both hungry for a win. We have a lot of talent and we just have to execute properly and do our jobs. I’m looking forward to it.”
