The boys’ soccer team had a game against Boylan March 25 with Varsity losing to the Titans 7-0.

Coach Chris Horteales said, “Falling 0-5 in the first half and 0-2 in the second, we showed character of not giving up and going through the rough patches”.

Ray Pereznegron had a good game against the Titans, having more than 20 saves and could possibly be the schools’ record.

Perezengron said, “The season is not necessarily going as well as we all wanted it to but overall as a team, we are more positive than ever before. Our team spirit will drive us to give it our all and win as many games as possible”.

The team also had a game on March 23 against Belvidere North, Varsity losing 3-0 and JV tied in a shortened match.

Horteales said, “Despite playing our game for a majority of the game. Small moments of losing focus during the gameplay a huge part”.

The next game is on March 27 against Genoa Kingston.

Spring break starts March 29 and the team will continue to have games during the break. They will have games on March 30 against East, April 1 against Freeport, and April 3 against Marengo.
