Rumors were recently hushed for the idea of a bonfire after the Homecoming Parade on Oct. 10th.

Junior Meadow Cox said, “It’s a little disappointing to not be able to have a bonfire. It’s still nice that we get to have a whole carnival after the parade.”

The idea of having a bonfire was shut down due to concerns that couldn’t be taken care of in time in for the Homecoming Parade.

Student Council Adviser Mrs. Donna Schelonka said “We are going to try again next year, since we have basically a whole year to alleviate the concerns.”

Although the bonfire will not happen, there still is a carnival going on after parade on the football field.

At the carnival there will be a DJ, dunk tank, bounce house, life-size whack-a-mole, cookie decorating, face painting, concessions, photo booth, car smash and more.

Junior Alex Paulson said, “I’m super excited to go to the parade and carnival this year. I’m happy that BHS has done something to spice things up for Homecoming.”
