On Aug. 23, BHS began the fall sports season. On the first Friday of the school year, BHS has a fall sports kickoff to start off the school year.
Sophomore Aiden Krup who walked in the kickoff said, “This was my second kickoff, but it was just as fun as last years.”
The evening began with introducing each fall team and what they have already competed in. After that, the football team competed in a friendly scrimmage.
Junior Jonathon Urbieta said, “It was fun seeing the student section back in action again and I’m looking forward to playing varsity football.”
Other teams also had scrimmages to kick off the school year. Volleyball and soccer both played games before the kickoff. While they were not as packed the energy was still high and fun games in the end.
Junior Riley Horn said, “The volleyball games are always fun to go to. I know the girls are very excited to start this season and the team looks like they bonded very well.”
A lot of players and parents showed up this year. Almost every seat was filled in the stands.
There are sporting events happening nearly every day. The next football game is Friday, Sept. 6 away at East.
