The Belvidere Boy’s tennis team has had a slow start to their season. The team has not had a single conference match yet because of weather issues, yet has had one non-conference match. The team was scheduled to have three conference matches, but all have been rescheduled.

Head Coach Mrs. Susan Thomas said, “Our season is off to a slow start as our first three conference matches have all been rescheduled. We are looking forward to getting out there and playing.”

The team did play a non-conference match and the team took a tough loss to Woodstock losing by 70 strokes.

Freshman Marco Bychowksi said, “Our tennis players are like our courts ripped up and unable to play” Bychowksi also said, “We have a lot of building to do with a lot of our players barely playing tennis before.”

The two conference matches against East and Belvidere North have been postponed to an undetermined date.

The boys next match is on April 9th against Jefferson High School and the match is home.
