The Lady Bucs bowling took first place in Regionals at Carpentersville on Feb. 2. The team had a total of 5416 pins, senior Alexis Sherman led the team with a total of 1186 pins.
The four other top scores were senior Hannah Whidby with 1186 pins, sophomore Danielle Heinz with 1070, senior Christina Simon with 1021, and senior Elyce Turnipseed with a total 1019 pins.
Coach Andy Werhane said, “I am very proud of our team’s performance and I am excited to see what we can do at sectionals”.
The Lady Bucs bowling team will advance to sectionals and will be held at Don Carter Lanes hosted by Jefferson High School on Feb. 9.
The team also placed 7 at the Dixon Invitational with a total pin count 5161. The team was led by senior Lexy Sherman with a total pin count of 1269.
