The BHS boys bowling team lost to Harlem at Forest Hills on Dec. 18.

Coach Mr. Marc Felix said, “We are progressing and improving but it hasn’t been without hurdles along the way. We’re coming up on the home stretch of our season soon and I’m looking for a strong team finish at regionals so we can qualify as a team for sectionals.”

The varsity team placed eighth at their Freeport Sport Shot tournament on Dec. 15.

Sophomore Garrett Frazier said, “It’s been great so far, but I can improve.”

Their JV team placed 12th with sophomore Kevin Gutierrez leading the team. Gutierrez placed eighth overall with a high game of 185 pins and a six-game series of 890 total pins.

They played Hononegah at Viking Lanes on Dec. 13 and lost by 778 total pins. They also played Auburn on Dec. 10 at Forest Hills. The varsity team lost by 101 total pins.

Junior Greg Suthers said, “As a team, we did better than I expected and I hope that we can improve more next season.”

Their next tournament is hosted by Boylan on Dec. 26 at Park Lanes, starting at 9:00 AM.
