Top 10 Christmas movies that will deck your halls

Grace Haug, Staff writer

As Christmas rapidly approaches us this year, it is finally time for one of the biggest topics to be discussed, which is the top 10 Christmas movies.

Although there are many great Christmas movies that could have easily made this list, I have dialed it down to the top 10 best Christmas movies to be made.

Coming in at 8th, 9th, and 10th place we have three Christmas classics, that everyone is sure to enjoy during the holidays. From a magical train,  to ghosts of Christmas past, the last three in my top 10 Christmas movie list would have to be The Polar Express, It’s a Wonderful Life, and A Christmas Carol. All three of these movies are holiday classics that everyone would be sure to love to watch with friends and family during the Christmas season.

The next three in my top 10 list are all cartoon-classics, which I have personally loved throughout my entire childhood. The next three would have to include The Year Without Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and How the Grinch stole Christmas. All three of these films include many fun characters, and happy music that you can’t help but just fall in love with while watching the movies.

For 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place I had to pick some of my personal favorites, which would be Home Alone, Elf, and A Christmas Story. All three of these movies are great choices to watch with family and friends, and they are all sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Although this was a very tough decision, it is clear that there is only one movie superior to all, which will take the first place award for best Christmas movie.

After a long hard decision, it is clear that the best Christmas movie ever made is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. With several funny one-liners, and hilarious characters who make the movie even better, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a great movie that almost anyone is sure to love.
