The girls swimming team finished their season on Nov. 3 at the NIC-10 conference meet. Junior Mikayla Gavina from North qualified for state for her individual race.

“I think the season went well, overall,”  said head coach Traci Torbert,  “Next year I would like to finish the same or higher in conference and qualify more swimmers for the state swim meet.  The girls worked hard and showed a lot of determination this year, and I’m sure that will continue in the future.

The girls season was successful as they had a ton of girls get their personal best times. They also finished second in their NIC-10 conference meet.

“The season went really well. The team had a lot of success and placing fifth overall at sectionals wasn’t our best, but we gave it all we had and that’s what counts.” said sophomore Emerson Gaines.

BHS had two swimmers go to sectionals this year, but we did not have any go to state.

The girls started their season with a few high finishes but couldn’t place high at sectionals.
