Lady Bucs Bowling starts the season off strong

The Lady Bucs bowling team placed fifth with a grand total of 5,023 pins at their first preseason tournament at Park Lanes on Nov. 23.

Senior Lexy Sherman led the team with their highest series of 1,137. Sophomore Danie Heinz had Belvidere’s highest game score of 245.

Heinz said, “I am quite proud of our team and believe that we will continue to improve as the season goes on. I am excited to see each player grow and keep getting better.”

Seniors Elyce Turnipseed and Hannah Whidby both got a high game of 187. Turnipseed had an average of 167 and Whidby had an average of 166.

Sherman said, “My team was super supportive and I’m incredibly proud that we placed in the top five. I can’t wait for the rest of the season.”

The JV Lady Bucs placed third with a grand total of 3,949 pins.

The girls have their next tournament, the J-Hawk Invite, on Dec. 1 at Cherry Bowl at 8:30 A.M.
