After having the same plain doors for around 52 years, the main gymnasium doors at BHS finally got an upgrade over the summer.

Thanks to the help of the athletic director Mr. Tim Ballard, BHS was able to receive the new look of the doors this summer.

Ballard said,  “I got tired of looking at the plum colored doors down there, so I decided we needed something to bring the athletic lobby more life.”

With the permission of principal Mr. Lewis, Ballard was able to create designs for the doors last April.

Once school got out,  they went to work at remodeling the doors. It only took two days to upgrade the doors into something brand new.

Sophomore Josh Pizano said, “I really like the look of the new athletic doors. I think the big Buccaneer logo really defines the true Buc spirit.”

Ballard hopes on doing something similar to the varsity locker room doors hopefully by the end of the school year.
